How to Pull Off Medical Scrubs for Petites

Dressing up a petite isn’t as quick and easy as finishing a small amount of salad. But if you know what to pick for your particularly petite figure, preparing for work will be a flash. Here are some tips on how to pull off medical scrubs for petites:

Petite & Plus Size. The usual thing that people think as a solution of hiding fats is covering them completely with long, baggy clothes. It doesn’t make sense though as it will leave you totally boxy, with no shape at all. To avoid looking bigger and shorter, go for v-neck scrub tops to draw attention to an elongated neck. Consider, though, that plus size women usually have large bust, so you may as well choose an item with inset dickey and deep v-neck band to stay modest. You may pair it with knee-high black nurse skirt that’s well-fitted to draw attention from your generous parts to the legs and calves instead.

Petite & Pear-Shaped. Even if boleros and short cardigans are chic and really cute, they won’t work for petites having pear-shaped bodies as they would draw more attention to the particularly generous parts, the hips. When paired with cropped pants, the silhouette is totally destroyed. To evade the shrinking of height and additional volume to your lower half, camouflage the hips with hip-length or better yet long scrub jacket. Wear it over a light colored medical scrub top that’s tucked to the pants, to emphasize your face. For the bottom, pull a high-waist, dark-colored scrub pants for lengthier legs and slimmer bottom. And please leave the horizontal stripes behind.

Petite & Stick-Figured. If you weren’t blessed with bust and hips, think that models are just a little lucky to have height. Not bad at all, right? Instead of simply hiding that straight figure, create a shape using the right style of medical scrubs. Replace any baggy medical scrubs with shapely, sheath designs such as the princess cut and empire waist scrub tops. A fitted consultation lab coat will also add shape to your silhouette. And then, create that elongated and leaner look with black or any dark colored scrub pants.
